About MisfitDave
A Companion for the Outsiders
Welcome to Misfit Dave, a digital space designed for the outliers, the question-askers, and those who have never quite felt at home in the middle of the status quo.
This site is not a place for “perfect” answers or polished religious tradition. It is a companion for those navigating the messy, gritty, and often misunderstood path of being a misfit in a world that demands conformity.
The Vision: Misfit Theology
At the heart of this work is a concept we call Misfit Theology. It is the belief that the most profound spiritual truths are rarely found in the center of the room. Instead, they are found at the edges—in the margins where the outsiders, the overlooked, and the misunderstood reside.
We believe that faith should be unfiltered and honest. Our goal is to explore a perspective on life and spirituality that embraces the complexity of the human experience rather than trying to tidy it up.
What We Explore
- The Original Misfit: A central focus of this blog is the life of Jesus, viewed not through the lens of institutional tradition, but as the “Ultimate Outsider.” We dive into the stories of the “Jesus You Never Met”—the one who consistently chose the margins over the mainstream.
- Identity & Belonging: We examine the difference between being a rebel and being a misfit, helping people find strength in their unique identity rather than feeling defined by their lack of “fit.”
- Gritty Grace: This is a space for the “King You Never Knew” and the “Grace You Never Expected”—a look at how spiritual hope functions in the real, unvarnished world.
Meet Dave
Dave is a writer and blogger who has spent years exploring the intersections of faith, identity, and the outsider experience. He writes for those who feel invisible in conventional circles and seeks to provide a voice for the “bruised and broken lives” that the world often moves past.
Through his reflections, Dave invites you to stop trying to fit into a box that wasn’t made for you and instead find community among those who are comfortably, authentically themselves.
“If you’ve ever felt like an outsider looking in, you’re in the right place. Pull up a chair. You aren’t alone here.”
